Mayfield Middle School students Kristina , Courtland, and Ivan work together to develop a vocabulary concentration game in Lisa Heflin’s reading enrichment class using words from Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry. This activity is designed to help students expand their vocabularies by learning unfamiliar words from the novel.

Here at Mayfield Middle School, it is our goal to provide a well-balanced curriculum for all students.  We aim to inspire and encourage a high level of achievement so that our students may attain their goals through lifelong learning.  To accomplish this, our teachers are encouraged to use a variety of learning and teaching approaches to keep students actively engaged in the learning process.
