Welcome to Mayfield Middle School. 

Here at MMS we are striving to form a positive partnership with our students, parents, school staff and community.  We encourage a positive approach to education and good behavior.  We truly care about our students and encourage them to become caring, friendly individuals with respect for the feelings of others.

It is our goal to provide a well-balanced curriculum for all students.  We aim to inspire and encourage a high level of achievement so that our students may attain their goals through lifelong learning.  To accomplish this, our teachers are encouraged to use a variety of learning and teaching approaches to keep students actively engaged in the learning process.

I am personally committed to providing a safe, stimulating learning environment for all of our students.  I hope that each student will develop to their fullest potential and achieve the highest possible success.  I am also committed to assisting our students not only with academic studies, but to develop living skills for the complex world in which we live today so that they may be well-prepared for the future.  I consider it of the highest importance that our students learn self-discipline, to take responsibility for their actions and to use good sound judgment in order to develop higher order and critical thinking skills.  At MMS we not only want to develop good students, but good people who are ready to help our city, county, state and nation to be the best it can be.
